Schedule Updates

Major construction on the Albany Avenue project begins in June/July 2017 and is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2019. For detailed bi-weekly schedule updates, please see below:

Week of July 16, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

    • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks will continue on the north side of Albany between Baltimore and Adams and will begin between Oakland and Sterling.
    • Installation of granite curb continues on the north side of Albany between Baltimore and Adams.
    • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Baltimore.
    • Traffic signal foundation work continues at the intersection of Albany and Westbourne/Homestead and will also occur on the northwest corner of Kent.
    • Installation of new concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons continues on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Kent.
  • Brick paver installation continues on Woodland (south of Albany).                                                           

 

 

Week of July 9, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks will occur on the north side of Albany between Baltimore and Adams.
  • Installation of granite curb continues on the north side of Albany from Westbourne to Baltimore.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Baltimore.
  • Traffic signal foundation work continues at the intersection of Albany and Westbourne/Homestead.
  • Installation of new concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons continues on the south side of Albany between Woodland and Oakland and will also occur on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Baltimore.
  • Brick paver installation continues on the south side of Albany between Milford and Woodland and will continue southbound on Woodland.
  • Preparation for paving of the lot at 992 Albany will begin.

Week of July 2, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • No construction will occur on Wednesday, July 4th. Normal work hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th.
  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks will continue on the north side of Albany from Kent to Baltimore.
  • Traffic signal foundation work continues at the intersection of Albany and Westbourne/Homestead.
  • Brick paver installation continues on the south side of Albany between Milford and Woodland and will continue southbound on Woodland.

Week of June 25, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks will occur on the north side of Albany from Baltimore to Westbourne and also on the south side of Albany between Woodland and Sterling.
  • Installation of granite curb will occur in the island of the Albany entrance to the UHart Handel Performing Arts Center.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting continues on Woodland and on the south side of Albany to Oakland.
  • Traffic signal foundation work will occur on the SW corner of Albany and Oakland and also at the intersection of Albany and Westbourne/Homestead.
  • Installation of new sidewalks and driveway aprons continues on the south side of Albany between Milford and Oakland.
  • Brick paver installation continues on the south side of Albany between Milford and Woodland.

Week of June 18, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks will occur on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Baltimore and will continue east.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will continue on Woodland.
  • Traffic signal foundation work continues near the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance and will begin at the corner of Blue Hills and Albany and also at Oakland and Albany.
  • Concrete wall construction continues on the NW corner of Albany and Woodland.
  • Brick paver installation continues east on the south side of Albany between Kent and Woodland.

Week of June 11, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting continues on Woodland and on the south side of Albany to Oakland.
  • Traffic signal foundation work continues near the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance.
  • Roadway reconstruction and asphalt installation will occur on Baltimore, Woodland, and also on the south side of Albany between Milford and Woodland.
  • Installation of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons will occur on the east side of Woodland and on the south side of Albany between Milford and Oakland.
  • Brick paver installation continues east on the south side of Albany between Kent and Woodland.
  • Concrete bus pad construction will occur on the south side of Albany between the Bravo Plaza Entrance and Woodland.

Week of June 4, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks and installation of new granite curb continues on the north side of Albany between Westbourne and Baltimore and will continue east on the south side of Albany from Oakland to Sterling.

  • Traffic signal foundation work continues on the SE corner of Milford and at the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance.
  • Concrete wall construction continues on the NW corner of Albany and Woodland.
  • Installation of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons will continue east on Albany between Milford and Woodland. Preparation for sidewalk installation will occur on the east side of Woodland.
  • Brick paver installation continues east on the south side of Albany between Kent and Woodland.
  • Concrete bus pad construction will occur on the south side of Albany between the Bravo Plaza Entrance and Woodland.

Week of May 21, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks and installation of new granite curb will occur on the south side of Albany Avenue between Woodland & Oakland Terrace.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on both sides of Albany between Blue Hills & Woodland.
  • Traffic signal foundation installation continues at the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance, SE Kent & SE Milford.
  • Concrete wall construction continues on the NW corner of Albany & Woodland.
  • Installation of new concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps continues on the south side of Albany between Baltimore & Milford.
  • Brick paver installation will continue on the south side of Albany between Baltimore and Milford.
  • Roadway reconstruction continues at the Bravo Plaza Albany Entrance and will begin on Baltimore and on the east side of Woodland between Albany and the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance.
  • Asphalt installation will occur on Baltimore and between the Bravo Plaza Albany entrance and Woodland.

Week of May 14, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks and installation of new granite curb will occur on the south side of Albany Avenue between Woodland & Oakland Terrace.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on Woodland between Albany and the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance.
  • Traffic signal foundation installation will begin at the Bravo Plaza Woodland Entrance, SE Kent & SE Milford.
  • Concrete wall construction continues on the NW corner of Albany & Woodland.
  • Installation of new concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps continues on the south side of Albany between Baltimore & Milford.
  • Brick paver installation continues on the south side of Albany between Baltimore & Milford.
