Schedule Updates

Major construction on the Albany Avenue project begins in June/July 2017 and is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2019. For detailed bi-weekly schedule updates, please see below:

Week of April 23 , 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

•Installation of planter curb will continue on the south side of Albany and will continue east.
•Brick paver installation will continue on the south side of Albany, east of Milford.
•Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks/driveway ramps and installation of new granite curb, concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps will continue on Westbourne and on the south side of Albany, east of Milford.
•Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on both sides of Albany between Homestead and Blue Hills.
•Retaining Wall Construction on Woodland Street.
•Bravo Entrance Construction will continue on south side of Albany.

Week of April 16, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

  • Installation of planter curb will continue on the south side of Albany, east of Homestead.
  • Brick paver installation will continue east of Homestead on the south side of Albany.
  • Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks/driveway ramps and installation of new granite curb, concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps will continue on the south side of Albany, east of Milford.
  • Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on both sides of Albany between Homestead and Blue Hills.
  • Retaining Wall Construction on Woodland Street.
  • Bravo Entrance construction to start on south side of Albany.

Week of April 9, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Week of April 2, 2018

• Brick paver installation will begin on Homestead and on the south side of Albany east of Homestead.
• Demolition of existing curb/sidewalks/driveway ramps and installation of new granite curb, concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps will continue on Westbourne and on the south side of Albany, east of Milford.
• Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on both sides of Albany between Homestead and Blue Hills.
• Drainage work will occur on the corner of Albany and Woodland and will continue east of Vine.

Week of March 26, 2018

Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

• Drainage work will continue (project-wide).
• Demolition of existing sidewalk/curb and installation of new granite curb, concrete sidewalks and driveway ramps will continue eastward on Albany.
• Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will continue on both sides of Albany between Homestead and Blue Hills.

*weather permitting

All travel lanes on Albany will remain open before 9am and after 3pm. During other hours, partial lane closures may occur.
Traffic will be maintained in both directions on Homestead/Westbourne.
Hartford Police will assist motorists.

Week of March 19, 2018

THE SPRING CONSTRUCTION SEASON STARTS NEXT WEEK!*

• Drainage work will continue (project-wide).
• Demolition of existing sidewalk/curb, and installation of new granite curb, will begin on the south side of Albany and Baltimore and will continue eastward on Albany.
• Installation of light pole foundations, conduit, and temporary lighting will occur on both sides of Albany between Homestead and Blue Hills.

• Project coordination and planning continue in preparation for upcoming construction work.
• Miscellaneous work is scheduled to be performed on newly installed drainage structures (project-wide).
